Failed Tx Emissions Test - 1992 miata

I failed the state emissions test... here are my results.

High speed test @ 25MPH NOx(ppm) failed @1521 - standard is 1179
Low speed test @ 15MPH NOx(ppm) failed @ 2056 - standard is 1304
Low speed test @ 15MPH HC(ppm) failed @ 195 - standard is 166

I have no clue how to interpret this above data.

Any suggestions on how to:

Pass the test?
Troubleshoot the Miata?
Repair the Miata?

Before you get it inspected, go drive the piss out of it. Get everything nice and hot.

Also, run some Seafoam through it. Search here or Miata.net or just google it. It's Ex-Lax for your car's carbon build-up.

Run it over to TDR or Miata Solutions. Odds are they can diagnose the issue pretty quickly.

If you bumped the timing for more power bump it back to the OEM spec of 10 degrees.
