$2,500 and reliable??? I think at that price point you don't get reliable.

In that price range you may want to look for a honda civic. I have had mine since 1998 and its still running strong with 261K miles on the original motor. There are many on craigslist right now for $2500 or less. I would sell you mine, but we still drive it.

Something thats indestructible!
I think that's the first one I've seen that is not yellow.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Wow. I was thinking a purple Gremlin for my daughter's first car, but that Pacer is tempting. It would look great in the Frisco ISD parking lot next to all the Beemers and Lexi (is that the correct plural for Lexus?).
Some assembly required. You will also need an E85 station near your house and your destination.

Depending on what you'll use it for, a Caprice is usually easy to pick up on the cheap and they're reliable. Like Miatas, they're cheap to keep on the road because the parts are so plentiful. They're decent transportation and eat up the miles pretty nicely.
I picked up a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander with 67K. Owned by a little old lady who didn't need to be driving. This is the good side. She hit a few things but its all purely cosmetic. I think PDR and a good buff and wax will do wonders Interior is clean, Mechanically sound. Needed new tires as they were dry rotted. Yes, it was in my budget, even with new tires.
