Sooooooo.... put them back on! You know it's coming, so do something about it. You can put up with having those plates on for the next 3 months, considering after that they'll be gone forever.

Now, if I can just find the bleeding thing!

^The Miata never had one, nor anywhere to put one. I think I saw the Elements plate in the back, but my wife drives the Element so its ok, theyll let her off with a warning. I guess im screwed...

    WOOHOO! Happy Day!

The DPS officer that patrols Fannin County pulled me over once for that... it was a slow day... plus I think he wanted to check out the car He gave me several complements on it.

Other than that the only time I get pulled over for it is over in Honey Grove. It seems those small town cops don't have much to do!

It'll be nice to not have to worry about the hassle.

The law now states that the plate has to be on the extreme forward part of the car....

Don't get too excited until we see the language that passed the Senate yesterday... The first draft didn't include the "no front plate" section...
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

Yeah, I'm seeing this... the lastest version changes Article 9 to:

Article 9 would require the Office of the Governor to establish a Texas mentoring initiative to fund activities that create or expand mentoring opportunities, promote responsible fatherhood and healthy marriages, and increase the capacity of faith- and community-based organizations to provide mentoring and other charitable services. It would also establish the Renewing Our Communities Account as an account in the General Revenue Fund that could only be appropriated to HHSC. The section creates the faith- and community-based initiatives advisory committee.

    Fees still went up!

Of course! Fees always go up... Lots of activity yesterday, and still no Senate Journal at 5:20... Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Well it is after Sep1 and we still have plates. I think the bill died, then got reintroduced but without some parts. Including no front plates. I dont know if the second try passed or not.
