Yep, my front plate is coming off this weekend!
The way I read it, even if you were issued two plates, you don't have to run both after the article goes into effect. It says you "may" run both plates. I wrote a letter back in 99 regarding this very subject, and copied it to the "letters" section of the Dallas Morning News. Of course, they never published it, but I did get a note of "thanks" from my state rep... I don't care what kind of car it is, they are ALL UGLY with that wart on their face....

Thankfully it's Vivid's car, otherwise, we'd have to ask for the ouster of POS from TCB!

I bought my Miata in March and it had only one plate. Since the law said you must have two I went ahead and renewed my June registration earlier this week so I'd be legal..........but I'm going here.......

Nope... says "Sign in, Guest." I get the "You must register" page when clicking the link directly, but it takes me to the article if I click on the Google results.

In any case, it just sums up the other "Cost Saving" measures included in the bill. Keep your fingers crossed.

x 30 (software would not let me put all the smilies I wanted)

That is about how many people I know that have been stuck by this law. A great day for TEXAS. Now I can travel west again without getting hassled by the DPS every time.
