Don't worry, Ruth. You've got the same thing now in that Honda - you just paid way too much for it.Originally Posted by rjosey8385

Oh, and that nifty START button.
Oh, and the "Damn! That car is awesome!" comments from the coveters....worth the extra $6000 or $7000 that I spent on the car.
Oh, and not driving a girlie car...........priceless!

Nah, I don't think the S2000 is that expensive to fix. It may be fragile (diff, clutch, control arm welds ), but it's not that expensive to fix when it breaks.Originally Posted by Treibenschnell

Crap. I'd rather drive it at Mineral Wells, but I think I'm going to be out of town for the next S2k event. How about the 4th S2k (July 23), if I can't make the one in June?

Mmmmm...I MAY be able to make that one, but there's an ER event the next day, and even though it's at Pennington, I'm missing enough ERs this year that I really need to do it, and my SO isn't very generous with my days out....I'll try to do July 23rd...I think I can...Originally Posted by altiain

Funny sorta related story...
When my wife and I got married, I owned a jet ski, and I spent almost every weekend either jet skiing or mountain biking. Pretty soon it became apparent to me that either one or the other had to go (not the wife - the ski or the bike ). So, I sold the ski about six months after we got married. A few months after that, I sold the Tacoma 4x4 I was using as a daily driver, since I no longer needed to tow the ski. I bought a Honda Prelude... and discovered autocrossing.
I waste a lot more money and time racing than I ever did skiing.
So, whenever the SO complains about racing, I always remind her I could quit racing, but that would likely end up with me taking up another more expensive and time-consuming hobby. Like golf.
