I have not contacted them yet. I was hoping for a second opinion about the work done
Even the best shop can make mistakes. Give them the opportunity to make things right before bashing them on the internet.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I agree with David. I know all of the TDR people well, and I expect they are willing to address a problem if they made an error. Bringing your complaints to this forum without having at least given them a chance to respond is the wrong approach.

Thank you for the support gentlemen. This is the first we have heard of the problem. I even sent this follow up email to Mr. Shanks 6 days after service.
(This post is not what we meant.)I wanted to follow up with you in regards to the service we performed on your Miata. As enthusiasts ourselves, we understand how tough it is to trust someone with your “baby”. We truly appreciate instilling your trust in us to upgrade and/or repair your Miata. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about the services performed or if we can assist you in the future.
As a small business catering to a niche market, much of our business comes from word of mouth. We value our customers and are honored when they think highly enough of us to refer people to us or in other ways share their experience at Track Dog Racing with others.
We stand by our work and while we are human and can make mistakes, these do seem very much out of character to the work we normally do. I'm not going to make excuses. I have discussed it with our mechanic, Mo and we remember the car but the condition the car was found in does not look at all familiar. We also test drove the car and it was running fine when it left our shop. Regardless, we would have happily resolved this if it was brought to our attention. Instead we found out about it three months later on an internet forum. As a small business catering to a niche market, much of our business comes from word of mouth. If anyone has any question prior to, during or after service we are always willing to be completely transparent. We will show you old parts we pulled off and allow customers to watch and ask questions. If we do a small $15 service like Seafoam it because it needs it. We never "pad" the bill with unnecessary repairs. Most of our customers are happy we do these little steps. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and the reason we do this is because we love Miatas and we love the Miata community. In fact, seeing stuff like this is really upsetting because we do our best to make everyone happy.
