Default WTB: 90-92 NA6 or 94-97R Stock Springs

    Howdy all,

I'm preparing to do a stock-ish low-buck suspension redo on my 96M. I'd like to mitigate my SUV-like 1996 ride height with a set of the shorter red dot / blue dot stock springs as used on the 1990-1992 NA6 and the 94-97 R Package.

Let me know if you have some that you'll sell reasonably cheap.

    Thanks in advance!

I've got the stock springs from my 92. They have been sitting in a box for nearly 13 years!

I have a set with new sensen oem style shocks, fat cat bump stops, and oem top hats already installed. I would take $100 for them.

I just noticed you said R package...these are not, just stock springs from my 91

Yowza, didn't realize what a healthy response this thread was going to create.

riverman1: Tempting offer, but I already ordered bumpstops and told Titus I would buy his springs, I intend to use KYB Excel-G's because I've had great luck with them in the past, and Edgewood is a bit far... but I do need new strut mounts. Ugh. Are those parts "new new" or just kinda new?

According to what I've read, 94-97R front springs are identical to 90-92 manual transmission blue-dot front springs, while the R Package rears are about the same length and just marginally stiffer—there seems to be some dispute as to the exact specs, but I think I'll be happy with either. This much I know for certain... I once measured a 96M next to my prior 94R, and the 96M ride height was 1-1/4"(!) higher in the back and 1/2" higher in the front. This is the main thing I'd like to address.

I put the shocks and bump stops on my car, and with less than 1000 miles took it for an alignment and discovered a bent rear sub frame. When I pulled everything off, to change the sub frame, I went ahead and changed the coilovers and all the bushings. So I guess practically new would apply here.

I work in Terrell, so we could work something out if you are interested. Also, I will be at the next few autox events if you are going.

No worries though, if you go with one of the other offers.

    Are the mounts new?
