I saw the numbers, also. And, I had the same thought as you, jrj512.
Everyone that I have talked to that is not going has a very good reason for not going.
If you are thinking about going, but have not registered yet, do so soon. Hallett is a great Miata track and being an all Miata event is outstanding. Skip Barber has said that if can drive well at Hallett, you can drive well anywhere.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Wow, the best weather at a M@H that I have attended. Good times. I got down to a 1:33 CCW, so I am pretty happy.
This was my first time to Hallett and man was it fun. I screwed up turn 3 every time and had major brake fade. So an upgrade is in order before next year and maybe some race rubber.
