Yep if you got something electrical moist it could certainly cause it to miss.
So this morning on the way to work, the Miata starts sputtering/misfiring like it's not getting any gas. I get to a stop light and see steam
coming out from under the hood. It appears when I replaced my crunchy heater hose grommets, I disturbed the delicate balance of the
stupid hose clamps!
My question is, would the moisture/steam under the hood make the car run crappy? I was able to limp it back home and the temperature
never came up.

It's home in the garage, with the hood up. Hopefully it will dry out.
And this is why we can't get you nice things.....
Water squirting onto coil perhaps.

I know Rosenthal sells the complete coolant hose kit. Does Mazda sell a similar kit I can order?
Or...does anyone have all the part numbers handy for a '93?

^We don't use the 'C' word! Yes they are.
Replaced the OEM hose clamp with a screw drive one. Let it run and get up to temp in the garage last night without any signs of leaking. Tried to drive it to work this morning, and got a few minutes away from home and it started sputtering again. Still no signs of leaking. I'm hoping it just hasn't dried out yet....it's back in the garage again with a fan pointed at it.
Any other ideas?
I would pull all the spark plug wires and make sure you don't have water down any of the holes. If you notice any moisture you can try putting some WD-40 on the ends of the wires.

^Good idea, thanks!
Did it just spew or did it overheat? If the head got too hot and warped, you could be having bigger issues.
^Never overheated. Just leaked and steamed inside the engine bay. Header wrap can create a bunch of steam when it gets wet.
Still no bueno. No water in the plug holes, but I removed the wires and gave them, the coil and the holes a squirt of WD40 just for grins. I cleaned the MAF plug with electronic cleaner too.
It ran great for a few minutes, then started sputtering. I limped along, and eventually it ran fine again.
Did that a few times before I brought it back home. I'm stumped. Almost acts like water in the fuel line...is that possible?
