Daaaayuummm!!! The exhaust note is better than an F1 car, build quality and fit / finish is superb, and the car handles... well, you know. Please talk me down...

Nobody should talk you down. Probably the best value in the sports car world, and only getting better. Motors seem to handle high mileage well, Honda durability, strong aftermarket. As long as you don't mind the occasional engine fire and random snap oversteer incidents, you should be golden.![]()

You also have to life with the fact that the car has no soul.
VW Bug in running shoes
M Porcupine sedan
M Porcupine coupe
Crusty old e46 beater
Battery Powered appliance car
I would not mind moving to an S2000, but I am too cheap to start over again with the Street Touring mods.
Yep, and to be honest the Vette is easier to live with on a daily basis. The S2000 CR can beat you up pretty bad.
The S still makes me giggle when it hits Vtec.
Hard pressed these days to find a pristine S2K that hasn't been on fire or that has had the living shit modded out of by some hella flush kid like Robert.....![]()
Agreed with all of the comments thus far.
I test drove the car on by brother-in-law's behalf (he is in AZ, car is here in CA), and was pleasantly surprised. I shouldn't have been surprised though; along with all the great press the S2000 received, I recall reading in GRM that it was one of the few cars out there that was track-ready right out of the box. Not sure if that is an overstatement or legit.
I will keep the Miata for at least five years. My wife and I are trying to "right size" our life and a new (used) car is diametrically opposed to that goal. It would be really nice though. Really nice. Really really nice.
