Thread: modified NB2 thermo outlet

    Default modified NB2 thermo outlet

Ihave seen online someone that makes a modified NB2 thermostat cover/outlet that incorporates a bung for fitting a temp sensor for 1.6 to 1.8 conversions. Cannot seem to locate source. Would rather not tear the front of the motor apart again to change the neck and reroute kit is not an option.
    Anyone familiar with a source?

Have you considered just putting a 1.6 thermostat housing onto your existing water next? Might have to tweak the hose routing a tad, but it gives you the sensor mount. Or just drill and tap it.
I will look for the custom one you mentioned, but I don't recall where I saw it.

Is the coolant reroute illegal in CSP?

No allowance for modifying cooling system beyond sam size or better radiator and Pro allowance for manual fan switch.
Dont see it on begi site. Will drop them a line.

How hard would it be to drill and tap?

Not enough meat in the cover. Needs a bung welded on from what i have been told.
