The new website looks great!
Out of curiosity, are they allowing us to drive on their band grid on the SW corner of the lot?
Equipe Rapide Challenge Cup #1 is happening on February 28th at Burleson High School. This would normally be the last day of February but there is nothing normal about it. In this election year Equipe Rapipde is inaugurating a new site for the North Texas autocross junkies. Burleson High School is a concrete lot just South of Fort Worth. It isn't as large as some of our other sites but the change in scenery and surface is a breath of fresh air. You can review rules which are located on our new website at www.equiperapide.com. Our season pre-pay discount of 10 for the price of 7 is in effect and available through the club store on the axwareorm website. You can get to that store by following the link on our website. All of our 10 challenge cup events are open for registration at this time. I hope to see you out there!

We are less than two weeks away from the inaugural Burleson autocross. So far the forecast looks good. Old man winter skipped North Texas this year.

Itching to see a map, mostly so I know where to park when I get there for setup in the morning!

So is paddock anywhere along the side of the school?

Trucks with trailers paddock next to the building on the street side. Cars paddock next to the building on the opposite side. Grid will be along the connector road between the school and the course. Since this is the first time here we are going to try it this way. We will twerk as necessary for future events.

And there was no twerking today.

I think the site has promise. It's going to take some creativity to get a long course but I look forward to going back!

Novice -324 checking in. It was nice finally getting the miata out and running. Car is much much faster than I am, which is nice. It's too tight right now, I'll need to mess with the alignment a bit, but even so there was quite a bit more time in it.
So presuming that someone wants to stay in mineral wells after the novice class in march to allow for more twerking time, instead of driving 2 hours back home only to turn around and drive back the following day in their rather uncomfortable miata, where would be the best place to stay?
There are several hotels right near the site. I'm partial to the Holiday Inn Express, but any name brand chain is fine out there. Ask for a rate deal for racing clubs, most offer something around $79
