Excellent plan! I'm up for it.
The North Texas S2000 Club & our MME friends along with the Porsche and BMW Clubs, Equipe Rapide, and SCCA under the direction of Gregg Lee are teaming up to clean the MW surface. As many of you know Gregg has already done extensive work at the site and has put together a reasonable plan to finish the job.
Gregg has acquired a street sweeper with gravel collector. We will also be using his tractor to remove larger piles. The costs for this effort are being split between all clubs involved based on number of 2005 events. We have a .175 share of the costs which will be paid for by the NTS2KOC, not bad.
What we need from you: Each club will have a work day at the site. To make this work we need you to post if you are interested in helping out. Maybe we can have a little BBQ on site as well. A firm date will be proposed soon.
Can you guys imagine the day when we can run at MW without running through all of the gravel areas. That day is coming soon thanks to Gregg and our volunteers.

I'd be willing to participate, since I do use the facility now and then!
I'm in if I'm able.
Count me in - Mineral Wells has gotten a lot better over the last season thanks to Gregg's efforts.

Very good point! If they do I guarantee I'll be missing the cleanup.Originally Posted by onething
Well any news?? What club is in charge of the cleanup?
According to the S2k site, the cleanup is the 28th... tomorrow!!
They may be looking at July 2nd as the backup date.
Nice reporting Sparky, some accuracy in the story would be nice.Originally Posted by Treibenschnell
