Also, my CEL is not on.
I've been having an issue with my car not starting for the last 2 days, and was hoping I could get some advice. Yesterday morning I went to start my car for the first time of the day, and it wouldn't. After attempting to start it about 10 times while tapping the gas pedal, it finally fired up. The next day (this morning) the same thing happened. It's only the first start up of the day that has issues. Starting the car afterwards throughout the day works fine. I had the battery and alternator tested first, and they are both fine. My guess now is that it is fuel related. Hours of reading have led me to think it's the fuel pump relay, or the fuel pressure regulator. On a side note, not being for sure if it's related, but my gas gauge was stuck on full for 3 days after filling up, and with the amount that I had driven in those 3 days, there is no way it could have been at full still. If you have experience with this issue, please chime in as I am hoping to get this issue resolved over the weekend. Thanks.

Um I just don't recall what variant of the Miata you have NA, NB, NC. or ND??
Is this a new problem? What did you do to the car just before this problem started?
Tapping the gas has no affect on a fuel-injected car, does it? At least, it does not inject fuel into the cylinders if the car's not running.
Clogged fuel filter??

It's a 1992. The only thing I've done recently is replace the spark plugs and wires about 3 weeks ago. Also, to add to the list of things happening, my radio and dash dimming lights now no longer work.
Yes, it's a new problem. Just started happening 2 days ago. Same issue happened this morning on the first start up. It struggled, but was able to get it started. And now it'll fire up every time.
Haha i wish
Does the engine actually turn over but takes awhile to start up or does it not turn over as fast, when you have issues?
