    Default Most newb question ever

I keep seeing refs for NA and NB, sounds like chassis? And just try a 2-letter forum search

    NA's are first gens (1990-1997). NB 2nd gen, 1999-2005. NC 2006-2015. ND 2016-?.

The VIN has the NA, NB, NC or ND listed. The VIN of my car is JM1NA353XR*******. J for Japan, M for Mazda, 1 for automobile, NA for 1st gen Miata, etc. and R for 1994.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

The 4th and 5th positions of the VIN for all Miatas also contains the generation code, NA, NB, NC, or ND.

Edit: Ooops, I see cone-cerned beat me to it. :)

Ahh. I didn't know they went through more revisions.

I like the flip up lights. I wonder what would be involved in rigging it to wink (one light up) :)
