My 2:08.27 lap at the SCCA Club Trial at Texas World Speedway. Not my personal best (2:05.797), but the best I would muster for the day. Note that I tried the high line (or some form of it) going into Turn One, but it did not seem to buy me any time. While that line maintains more speed, I think it's negated by the extra distance over the tight line. Use whichever line you feel more comfy.

They have Sunday sessions 1 and 2, and Saturday session 3. Where are the other two from Saturday and the third session from Sunday?
I had a great time, and some car troubles. I had trouble shifting the transmission in the third session on Saturday and corded the right front tire in the second session on Sunday. So, I did not run the third session. I set a new personal record of 2:11.974 sec. in the second session on Saturday (an average of 79.1 MPH for the 2.9 mile course), and a new top speed on a track with 106.0 MPH.
Here are the photos that Ms. cone-cerned took. https://dougcovington.smugmug.com/TWS-Club-Trial-2016/
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I was really slow, but I sure had a great time. I can't wait to do it again.
^--- Excellent perspective. I am completely confident I'll be faster the next time or two, at least.
To all who helped out by pushing race cars through Tech, a huuuuge THANK YOU! I'm elated to see driving enthusiasts criss-crossing the whole range of amateur sports car driving. Again, thank you for helping out in Tech when your race sessions were over.
Best always,
