    Cool Hey Everyone -

Tried to post in the new thread post but it has been closed.

Quick introduction about myself. I recently moved to Dallas from Southern California and also recently bought my first Manual car which is a 2016 Mazda Miata GT Soul Red (Bought used from Town North Mazda with 1.2k miles. I have 0 knowledge on how to work on cars and I would like to learn if anyone would have time to show me the ropes when they are doing their routine maintenance and etc.

Also, some mods that I am looking at in the future will be:

    1. Vinyl Wrap - for paint protection (hopefully near future if I can do it myself if not will push it back)
    2. Side LED light changed to brighter aftermarket ones.
    3. Suspensions - thinking fox
    4. Far future will be turbo kit when there are more data on it. (reliability)

    Now more about myself:

I am 28 and had own G37 and the 370z previously. But, neither of these cars have given me the joy of loving the car as fast as the Miata did. (It might also be that it is my first Manual car and loving how it feels.)

Any advice on driving manual, car work, and car maintenance/mods shops or privately please let me know. I would like to save all these information for when I need them.

Also, was wondering I notice most people here work on NA,NB,NC. Are there no one doing work for ND yet?

Thanks and nice to meet everyone!

    Thanks everyone.

I been lurking that Miata forum for robably four months before I finally purchased in December.

Looking for more locals experienced owners because all these guides makes zero sense even with pictures to me.

Welcome. I got my car wrapped in clear film, Durashield Titan XT, at DFW Clear Bra. They are located at 2415 E. Hebron Pkwy in Carrollton. The owner's name is Chris. They do a great job.

how much did it cost? did you do the whole car or only bumper and hood? Also, since that is not xtel is it known to fade and turn yellowish after 2-3 years? I read that a lot on none xtel products.

I had the whole car done, around $3k. I don't know about its longevity. I've had it on for a year. It's got a 10 year warranty. It looks as good as the day it was applied. Cone marks come off easy.

My 06 came with it on the front end and mirrors. It really works in cutting down the stone chips etc.

That's the price of a new paint job. What's the advantage of the wrap?

The vinyl wrap protects paint job and diy is about 700$ + color change.

The clear bra is similar but just clear.
