    2nd autocross of the year: TX Region SCCA Solo #2 - Sunday, April 30, 2017

    Where? Texas Motor Speedway Bus Lot in Fort Worth, TX.

    Event Schedule:

    •Registration & Tech Inspection: 7:30am - 8:30am (PLEASE DON’T BE LATE)
    (If you are new to TX Region SCCA events, please be AT THE SITE by 7:30am)

    •Course opens: 8:00am (approx.)

    •Novice Walkthru: 8:30am (approx.)

    •MANDATORY Drivers Meeting: 9:00am (approx.)

    •First Runs Start 9:30am (Approx.)

    •Trophies (and BEER ) approx. 30 minutes after conclusion of runs. (approx. 3:30 PM)

    Online Registration closes Friday night, April 28th at 11:59pm.

    **Walk up registrations ARE allowed on site but will be charged an additional $5.

    **CREDIT CARDS CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED ONSITE!!

    We actually start complaining about the poor course design the Wednesday before the event and for 2 days following the event.

    I'm in for sure. Track Dog got my clutch installed. Autocross is a perfect way to break-in a clutch, right?

    TexasRegion SCCA Solo

    Preliminary Run/Work order has been set for Texas Region SCCA Solo Event #2 4/30/17 at the Texas Motor Speedway Bus Lot. Based on the current entry level, there will be a 4 heat run/work structure. Any changes will be announced at the mandatory 9:00am Drivers Meeting held at the Timing trailer.

    Also for those of us on the westside.....

    FORT WORTH – Weather permitting, the I-35W north and southbound mainlanes will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 29 & 30 for construction activities.

    I thought it was pretty tight but not ridiculous. Finish was hard.

    Shame the wind caused so many problems...there were downed cones on 3 of my 5 runs. Easy to be successful when the grid workers hot-lap for reruns. Which brings up a question: should this club do like national events and require a 5 minute cool-off prior to reruns being taken?
