Default 2018 SCCA Club Trials Schedule

Does anyone know what the 2018 CT schedule will be? Come on, some of you guys are in the inner circle. It would be great if the CT schedule were published in advance (there's a first time for everything), so we could PLAN for it.

I am pretty sure I know that the first one will be during the January 27-28 SOWDIV Winter Festival at MSR Cresson hosted by the Texas Region. Super School, Reg Race, Club Trials.... I got that from here: http://www.sowdivscca.com/index.php/club-racing

I regret that I will miss the NTAXS Winter Festival, again. JJ, you must do something about that for next year.

Anyone know the full CT schedule? I could trade a couple of decent used 225/45R17 tires for some inside info!

It's pretty much full already, there will be a max of 20-25 drivers.

I'm registered, finally. I was number 20. There are 21 currently registered. If you plan to register, now might be a good time, especially if the limit that davidantx reported is true.

Registrations for the Club Trials is outpacing registration for the race and school groups by a significant margin, at this point. I have heard that a lot of racers register at the last minute, so that may change.

I noticed that Mr. E.L.F. Buck Entriken is registered for the CLUB RACE. Way to go Buck, and good luck to you!

Buck is not new to road racing FYI.

Oh yes, I knew that. I'm just happy to see him on the roster.

It might be wet on Saturday. Good opportunity to practice the wet line at Cresson on the 1.7 CCW. Sadly, I've found that the wet line at Cresson is only marginally better than the dry line, when it's wet. Do you want to spin 360 degrees maybe several times per lap, or just slide off and get stuck in the mud coming out of rattlesnake? Then stick to the dry line (not recommended). Or do you want to go really slow and maybe spin anyways, but stay on the track? Then stick to the wet line.

Just keep in mind that you'll have to cross the dry line at least twice on every corner. Think about how your car will look while plowing through the hay fields, mowing the lawn. You'll have many excellent chances for artistic expression.

The event was a lot of fun. Gorgeous weather. Pretty low key since a lot of people were in Houston instead.

I got in trouble both days.

I had a blast at the CT this past weekend too. Four hours of track time (12 sessions) over two days!!!

I knocked another 1.4 seconds off my PB for the 1.7 CCW configuration. My best lap was 1:27.144, backed up with seven or eight other laps in the 1:27s.
