    What is Onething doing in his avatar picture? Lab coat, goggles, fire, that's all I get.

    Also nice new pic Big D Stars! It's kinda "special"

    I'm very proud of my newfound forum abilities to quote and put up an avitar. I'm so teknickel. I can't tell if the guy in my avitar looks dumber than yours. Or Sammms now too.

    I work for Oncor, and the pic is of me doing what is called an Arcing Demo class. What you are seeing is about a 5000 volt arc that I've drawn from one connection on a transformer in the foreground.
    We use a back fed transformer to step the voltage up to something close to the voltage on the poles. Then impress little kids, new employees and volunteer fire figthers that the wires running down the alley or in front of their house is dangerous.
