    Default Mazda Radiator - FYI

Ordered up a new radiator for the '92 (p/n BPE8-15-200), had a small leak in the original radiator, so I ordered one From Mazda!

It's complete with cap and all the foam stuff and even a warning sticker!

How many Washingtons did you have to trade for that?
$140.30 plus shipping from MAZDASPEED Motorsports, I also ordered up all new hoses!

The original foam like was on it when it left the factory, that goes on the bottom of the radiator and between the cross brace and the radiator, to help ensure the air actually goes thought the radiator.

I wish I had a better camera, I’m using my phone…… Hopefully you can see the foam in these shots!

Are the replacements plastic topped like the original, or all metal?

    This one is plastic.

Being an aspiring TCB member I got my Koyo factory replacement off of Ebay for $60 plus shipping. I couldn't believe how cheap it was.

The quality looks good but it doesn't have the little things like the stickers and the foam.

However, POS went with plastic to stay in Stock class for autoX. I went with an all metal replacement for around $120 picked up in Hurst. But mine also didnt have any foam.

I was deeply concerned that guy in the "other" black E-Stock Miata with the Hoosiers would protest if I deviated from stock!

    He's a bad bad man!

Note to self, Miatamoto isn't running a stock radiator (evil laugh).

Don't worry, mines a direct factory replacement with plastic tanks. I can't give you any excuses on Sunday!

I do have an all aluminum radiator (used but in good condition) that I bought spur of the moment from Alara racing in Houston that I'm probably going to sell soon. It just came in the mail, but I need to check it out and make sure it's in good shape (they said it was in good shape).

    See ya on Sunday!
