Default End of an automotive era:

Last Oldsmobile to roll off assembly line Thursday

LANSING, Michigan (AP) April 27 -- The Oldsmobile, the line of cars that started out in 1897 and featured models such as the Rocket 88 and the muscular 442, is coming to an end this week.

My 1st car was a 442 makes me sad to know that Oldsmobile is History. I also had a Triumph & a Plymouth and they are both gone also.....

Never owned an Oldsmobile, and I can't think of one I would have wanted to own, so I guess I won't miss 'em.

Maybe we should convince POS to sell his Mazdas, since he seems to have been the kiss of death for so many other manufacturers? :P

I like older Oldsmobiles. (like from the 50s and earlier)

At the Oldsmobiles stand at the Dallas Car Show they had an old 50s "Olds" on display. I jokingly asked the guy if that's a new model. He jokingly replied, "Yeah, the new 2004 model." I replied, "Finally you guys came out with a decent looking car." He didn't find it funny.
