Sounds like a deal... sounds like I can score 4 for the Miata and 6 for the VW and filters for a steal.
I don't know if this is the best deal ever, but this weekend AutoZone had a deal where you could get 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 oil filter (the 108 is the NA/NB Miata, BTW) for $29 and change. The filter's normally $10, so it seemed like a decent deal.
They also had the same deal on the new stuff (the "Extended Mileage" Mobil 1) for $35 and change.

There's a 2 limit. I bought one for each Miata, and have a couple quarts for next time. It'd work out perfectly for you.

Is this still going on? I need to change the oil in the Miata and the Accord this weekend.Originally Posted by ccage

Not that great of a deal. Walmart sells regular mobil 1 for $19.99 for 5 quarts and $23.95 for extended life oil. Thats in the larger 5 quart container (Which is great for Recycling).
THanks for the heads up.

The one thing I dislike about the huge 5 quart bottles is that I have a difficult time measuring out the amount I need. I know the bottle has the clear strip... I just prefer the handy 1 quart bottles. Plus, it makes it easier to feed the car it's new oil rather than lugging that big, cumbersome deal over the engine bay. I'm already somewhat of a clutz... I don't need anymore help!Originally Posted by Screamin'Screw
I just bought a case (6 qts.) of Mobil-1 at Sam's Club for $25 and change.
Well that would be more expensive, now wouldn't it.Originally Posted by sammm
Is it? That's 6 qts. of oil and an OEM filter for < $30.Originally Posted by Titus

Lets not confuse the issue by including the filter price. 6 qts at Sams for $25 is $4.17 a qt. 5 qts at Wally World for $20 is $4 a qt.Originally Posted by sammm
As for the Autozone deal, it is really a waste for me being that I already have a drawer full of OEM filters.
Oh, I see now. I was looking at the original deal at VatoZone. I'm with Bean and prefer individual quart bottles.Originally Posted by Dave04
Did you score those at a good price? And did they come with new crush washers?Originally Posted by Titus
