I saw that. Is that any worse than driving with an expired SFI harness? (It would be used for Autocross the majority of the time)
Yes, since they never meet any safety standard they we just made to look pretty,Originally Posted by sammmAt least on expired SFI set would have had to have meet a safety standard. They may not be suitable for regular driving conditions and do not carry a DOT, SAE or C.A.R.B approval.
Just my .02...
Don't scrimp on safety equipment. Granted, since you'd use your standard belt for daily driving and would only be using the belts in question on the autocross course, chances are virtually nil that you'll have an opporunity to "use" them for real.
OTOH, why not go ahead and get something that you know is going to work. Maybe you'll do a track day?

You may want to search out R.J.S. this is who made my lap belt, and knowing me it was Team CB priced when I got it!
**Note the SFI tag on the belt**
yeah, you shold probably go ahead and get a good harness. Did you see that post about the STI that crashed?

RPM makes a good belt as well...
My expired belts... but they had SFI approval.
Does that help keep ya' from falling out of your office chair?Originally Posted by POS Racing

No I didn't. Thanks!Originally Posted by Kiliwizz
Just called them. The guy told me they send 'expired' harnesses back and have them re-done. The cheapest 5-point camlock he has there (Team Tech) is $258. (SFI good for 2 years)Originally Posted by Treibenschnell
These guys have super fast shipment! If you ordered today, I'm sure you'd have it before the weekend.

They always tell me like 3 days and stuff shows up in 2 by DHL. BTW, free shipping on the camlocks.

What extra hardware will I need to mount a 5 pt. harness in my NB? Majik?
That must be something new... when I bought mine last year the fella that sold them to me said they'd had the belts for awhile and just never sold.Originally Posted by sammm
Perhaps I'm not reading that page correctly, but is that $109 for the whole set? If so, that's a stupendous price!Originally Posted by Miatamoto
Yep, it's what I'll probably get when I get a roll bar in the car. You may need to pay a little extra for mounting bolts and stuff. Not sure though.Originally Posted by Treibenschnell
