So those of you with the shinny Miatas what wax do you use?
On the POSII I used Finish 2001 by Turtle Wax, the stuff worked wonders on the non clear coated finish.
But now that the '99 is a clear coat car figure there may be something better for it!

I use Nu-Finish. FYI..the paint on the '99 models is a 1-stage paint. Clearcoat is mixed in, not on top of the base. (You'll still get some color on your pad when waxing)
I use Zymol on the local VW Carshow First Place award winning VW.
Here's the official LINKIE.
Here's a decent pic...
Not bad looking for a 6 year old car! That Zymol does a great job.

Zaino for me...

I used to use Zaino on my car... but I noticed that I would often get a white looking glaze on the car a short time after I used it. Did anyone else notice this? It was real noticable on the dark paint.
I currently use Meguiars (the 3 step stuff).

You have to buff the wax off the car.Originally Posted by Dave04

Actually, I have noticed that I get some white streaks on my car that I can't seem to get off (I have a dark blue Miata), but that's after washing, not waxing. I wash the car, and dry it, and invariably I get faint white hazy streaks on the hood and trunk (probably along the sides too, but I can't see them there). So I claybar, thinking it's some residue that washing alone won't get off. Then I wash again (with fresh, clean water obvoiusly), dry it again (with a fresh clean white towel), and... there are those pale white streaks again.
Maybe it's something in the Zaino...?

Yeah... maybe I deserved that...Originally Posted by Kestrel
But seriously... I was thinking it was something in the Zainos... it would appear some time later after waxing.

And thanks!
I use the 3 step maguiars. I really like the way the car looks when it is done. Sammm, the only paint I got on my towels was from off of the mirrors before they were repainted. I think the EM were clear coated. I might be wrong.
They could be. Red isn't clear coated that's for sure.Originally Posted by Majik
Maybe not where it was repainted?Originally Posted by sammm
I used to use Zaino bros but it got old and so now I have someone wax my car -- every 12 months whether it is needed or not.
