OK car music fans, what's the next line?

    Around the far turn
    In the straight-away
    I was blowing off everything
    That got in my way
    The Stingrays and Jags
    Were so far behind

I took my Cobra out of gear and let it coast to the line.

Good line in this song : I took my Cobra down to the track,
hitched to the back of my Cadillac,

everytime I stick my finger on in ya
you're a wild wild little town bitch
now how 'bout ding a dang dong dong dong ling long
dingy a dingy dong a down

    everytime you tell me baby

I still can't believe they did the song "Fat Bottom Girls"...

My favorite doesn't have words about cars... it was the song by Paul Oakenfold named "Ready Steady Go"... you might remember it as the music from the car chase scene in "The Bourne Identity"

    Oh man... I almost forgot...

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line
Engines pumping and thumping in time
The green light flashes, the flags go up
Churning and burning they yearn for the cup

They deftly manuver and muscle for rank
Fuels burning fast on an empty tank
Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns
Their prowess is potent and secretly stern

As they speed through the finish, the flags go down
The fans get up and they get out of town
The arena is empty except for one man
Still driving and striving as fast as he can

The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
Not long ago somebody left with the cup
But he's driving and striving an hugging the turns
And thinking of someone for who he still burns

    He's going the distance
    He's going for speed
She's all alone, all alone, all alone in a time of need

Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse
    He's going the distance

No trophies, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no lime
He's haunted by something he cannot define
Bowel shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse
Assail him and bail him with monster truck force

In his mind he's still driving, still making the grade
She's hoping in time that her memories will fade
'Cause he's racing and pacing and plotting the course
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse

The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
Not long ago somebody left with the cup
But he's striving and driving and hugging the turns
And thinking of someone for who he still burns

    'Cause he's going the distance,
    He's going for speed
    She's all alone
    All alone
    All alone
    In a time of need

Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse
He's racing and pacing and plotting the course
He's fighting and biting and ridding on his horse
    He's going the distance
    He's going for speed
    He's going the distance

I guess I like a country song that came out a couple of years ago

    "The 5 o'clock Nascar 500"

Of course, if you include Truckin' songs, my all time favorite would have to be "Teddy Bear" by Red Sovine.
