Anyone up for a drive on Saturday? The weather is supposed to be great - mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s/low 80s.
I haven't broken the Miata out of the garage in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking for an excuse this weekend. I don't have a destination in mind, but I"m sure we can come up with one if we can get some people interested.

Sure make it early enough so I can get back to work. What do you guys think of a run down here heading towards grandbury. I know there are some routes out there, maybe we could also stop by MSR to see the new track.

Screw the Christmas lights - I want to drive some twisty backroads. I also want to do it during the daylight hours.Originally Posted by onething

Where is the Ranch?
I found it!!
The Motorsport Ranch is approximatley 14 minutes southwest of Ft. Worth, Texas. Proceed south on Highway 377 from Fort Worth. After 14 miles (from Loop 820) you will come to a traffic light at the intersection of Highway 171 in the town of Cresson. Proceed straight through the light approximately 1/2 mile further. The entrance to the MotorSport Ranch is on the left, just before the divided highway begins. Turn left onto the access road and proceed to the top of the hill.

Bite this .... I can put together a route but I won't have time to drive it so there may be some surprises

Surprises are fine with me. In which case, I nominate you to plan the route, since you volunteered.Originally Posted by Tim the Teacher

What time is good for you? I think this is going to be a pretty informal drive, so I've got no problem working around your schedule.

the drive from Cresson to Weatherford is a fairly scenic route, but I get lost after that.
Hey - TC knows a pretty nice drive from Weatherford to Jacksboro Highway in Azle (the alternate route home from the Wells). Maybe we can combine the two and make a run from NE Tarrant county down to the Ranch and back?Originally Posted by joe.MIATA
