Take it to Vatozone and get the code read. Anything else would be a guess.
Got a check engine light today, the car seems to run the same as it was before the light came on.
I checked the vacumn hoses and made sure the gas cap was on tight, oil, belts, fluids...just did the seafoam about a month ago.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Harbor Freight had THIS ONE on sale for $29.95 last week but I think the sale ended Monday.Originally Posted by Billy Blaze

Who cares for $30.00 it will sit in a drawer unneeded and unused way more than it will ever be needed!Originally Posted by black roadster

My point was I hate dealing with those VatoZone goombahs and for some it might be worth it to have their own so as to avoid them all together.
YMMV
Of course I have several tools sitting in drawers that I have yet to use.

when i did my sea foam through the vacum lines i got a CEL too...
took it to vatozone and they told me one of my spark plugs had misfired and the AIT map came up in the code, i disconnected the battery and plugged it up and back to normal.
When i unplugged the vacum lines to suck the sea foam from a cup it caused the engine to misfire but one you put it back it should be fine.
but a month after you do the sea foam?
that i wouldn't know...

Keep in mind, POS doesn't have to deal with the fine folks at the Vatozone here in McKinney. Based on past experience with them, I'd consider the $30, CB or not...Originally Posted by black roadster

Bah you just need to ignore what the slack jawed vatozone yokels tell ya and get the number off the reader!Originally Posted by Dave04
Take a peek back at the history in just this forum and you may note we haven't had many check engine light issues it just seem like a waste of $$$ to me but you bling bling kids want to get one go ahead, that way maybe someday I can borrow it from you!
Welll Billy ya got a code for us yet??

No. All NBs are OBDII cars and will need an OBDII code reader.Originally Posted by Mouglie
