You defiantly need to take some time and talk with shuhart1. He is local and a heck of a nice guy!

newbie lurker here.
I've owned an fm II'd 2001, and a 94 jrsc'd, and currently own another 94 and a 10ae. The 10ae is about to be force fed.
I want 200-220 easy rwhp. 10% chance I'll want more hp later... but I doubt it...but I'm willing to pay a hefty premium now to forego the possible hassle later and am therefore only looking at the Uber U3 and the brp hotside w/the R4 intake manifold.
I really like the hydra's plug and play nature. I realize that i'll have to spend a weekend taking eveyr thing to stock and back each time I need an inspection sticker, but I can deal with that.
Then again, the elf sounds virtually plug and play.
I spoke w/Brant from brp and with FM today for about 15-20 minutes each.
I'm a saved shopping cart's authorization away from pulling the trigger on ONE of these two. about the same price for each--as configured.
Anybody in the dfw area have any advice or things to warn me about? I'm honestly stuck on a log.
Thanks in advance,
robert

Yep... you have to give Gary a call. I love what he did for my car!
While I think FM certainly makes quality kits, the fact that Gary and Track Dog Racing are local makes the decision a no-brainer to me. If I ever decide to add a blower, I'll make my decision from among the products that Gary carries.
He knows a good engine builder as well, if you decide you really want that extra power.

Those are VERY pretty. When I saw the tubing and shroud, my mind was made up.Originally Posted by Titus
Yep, it's gonna be a brp/tdr car....
Only question is if I'm going to do the installation myself or have them do most/entire thing.
(is it just me, or is 'tdr' difficult to type? Comes out "trd"... must be my toyota-centric background, lol

Lightness? What's that? I drive a PRHT!
Wow!
Spent +-5 hours saturday w/Gary and some of the guys from tdr... and OH BOY! am I ever skrewed (in a good way).
Rode in/drove the Trackdog? car? (gary's red car/test mule)... it's currently de-tuned to about 230-ish rwhp, and it JUST ROCKED!!
INSTANT GO!
Not just gary, mike, and robert, but all of the clients and friends who stopped by were ALL very nice and fun :)
...of course, after checking out their Tein and goodwin-racing brake equipped miatas, I'm also now under a self-imposed emotional obligation to spend THAT $3k, too...
So even though it WAS just gonna be a $7-8k SC/clutch/intercooler install, I'm now well into New base-Neon and/or Hyundai territory...
Welcome to my Hell.
Mine too... especially when Princess up there blows a power steering belt!Originally Posted by Titus
Just ordered the SC from Brp. '3-5' weeks... probably more like 5-8, lol.
The big gulp mount/pulleys and VRTgear from BigGulp should be here this week.
And I'll pick up the clutch/lightweight flywheel and pressureplate from Gary @tdr this fri/sat and install next week.
You didn't order it all from Gary??Originally Posted by r-man, too
