Scorching plastic...
Just ordered 2 vinyl tan Robbins No zip glass tops with rain rails, (got them to eat the shipping since I bought 2)
I bought a beater 92' for my daughter to drive, found a 97 (with a sticky tranny???) for me to drive, both needed the tops replaced.
So all I need to install these is my Swiss army knife right???

I'd skip the skilsaw and go with a torch. You should be able to get around the corners easier.Originally Posted by pliablemoose

Serious answer. Are these tops on frames? If so the swap is fairly easy. If not you might want to see about having someone install it. I have heard it is pretty hard to do.
They're not that hard to do really. My first time, I just used the miata.net directions and the directions that came w/ the top.Originally Posted by Majik

Nope, not on frames. I'm going to give it a shot, see how it goes.Originally Posted by Majik

It's not too bad to do, Robbins tops are easier due pre-punched holes. You can do it! The 2nd one will be easier than the 1st.
