    I'm saving $$$ for the roll cage. I also have 3 arcade games to sell to make room in the garage to put the spare 1.6L engine on the stand and install the replacment crank & oil pump (Thanks Icepenguin66!!!)

    Once it's in and it's making good power I can fix the bad mains & the low oil pressure issues on the motor that's in it now and have it for a spare.

    WOW!!!!

    That was quick! The Brown Santa just left a heavy package on my doorstep about the size of a shoe box.

    Westco is here. I installed it and the car started right up.
    ...and across the line.

    yup, definately the battery...lol...
    10/30/06 - 93' black primered MX5 1.6L
    Wiseco Pistons 9:1, Carrillo Rods, ARP head and main bolts, FM valves +1mm and stiffer springs, new lifters, main bearings, cometic head gasket, port and polish head, ready for boost....

    17 and a half months later, Westco is Dead. I'm getting a prorated one for $25 but they say not to expect it until Monday.

    BTW, I accidentally left the interior light on over the weekend and drained it. After that, it would never hold a charge.

    He should have used a trickle charger on the battery. The AGM batteries don't hold up to quick charging(i.e, 10 amps or greater) well. I ruined a gell cell myself that way.

    True.

    An AGM does not require trickle charging. A gel cell does. Of course any battery will last longer if you only use your charger on the lowest setting.
