I can confirm the seats in my '92 were much more comfortable and supportive than my '99s are.
Hi all,
The 99 I recently purchased has a torn buttom cushion on the driver seat. Read from M.net that 94-97 NA seats fit in with the least modifications compared to the 90-93 seats. The 99 seat has very little lower back supports, the NA seats are supposed to be more comfortable with better lateral supports?
Could anyone comment on this?![]()
Ian, I read that you did the exact thing with you 99 before?
Also hope it will address the headroom problem with the top down. But I heard the NA's actually sit higher?
Thanks alot,![]()

I have been wanting to do the same, but right now i am low on thes . I hear Mazda-Nissan Heaven in Fort Worth sometimes has NAs to pull seats out of.
No more Miata

All NA/NB seats are directly interchangeable and will bolt right in. The very early seats ('90-'93?) will not have the female end of the seatbelt, as this is attached to the transmission tunnel in the early cars. Other than that, all you need to do is unbolt your seats and bolt the replacements right in.
Wow... that link reminded me just how long I have had this car, and how many different iterations it has gone through.
