Yeah. He's corrected that now. Moral of the story: don't sign up for the National Tour late at night after a couple of beers.

I thought Jon was going to run A-Mod because it was an easier class. Miata-Stock is going to be a tough battle. Now you see why old guys drive Mod cars. It's to get away from you young hot shoes.

We're leaving about 6pm on Friday night. `

Unfortunately, I've got a seminar to attend on Friday, so I can't sneak out any earlier.

We are planning to leave about 8:30 Friday morning. I also drive slowly. We will be listening to 146.460 on 2 meters, and channel 7 code 16 on FRS. I don't have a CB in the car.

Guess we'll be on FRS - Ch7/code16 is as good as any.

Run/work order is up now on SCCA.com.

C Stock works 1st heat and runs 2nd heat again, just like Walnut Ridge. Woohoo!

No, Jon and I will be driving down together, since I haven't mastered the art of driving two cars at once yet.

Whee! That was a lot of fun.

Just a quick recap: The DFWMiata.com team didn't fare too badly in C Stock, taking 4th, 6th, and 7th in a field of 9 drivers. I actually coned my way out of the trophies on Saturday's third run with a rookie mistake - watching the corner workers out of the corner of my eye too see if they were running after a cone I thought I had hit (I didn't)... I hit a cone. lugnutjon struggled a bit in my car today, and maintained 6th place. POS Racing looked good out on course, and finished up in 7th spot, right behind Jon. The top three finishers were Chris Hebert, Chris Williams, and Michael Wooton, who was driving his new '05 Mazdaspeed Miata with 245 Hoosiers on it.

onething has apparently fallen in love with the Clovis's Lotus Elise, which he co-drove this weekend in Super Stock. I discovered that fat guys like me look funny and awkward trying to get in and out of a Lotus Elise. I was reminded of all the good things about the CR-V that I take for granted, most of which were missing from the Jeep Liberty rental we were forced to use as a support vehicle this weekend. We went to lunch with Ben Castillo, the old bull, Solo RX-7 and the DFW STS contingent at a great little seafood place on the coast, but I'd be damned if I could ever find it again. Said place is also now completely out of Fosters, as I discovered that the DFW road trip crowd can drink a lot better than they can drive.

There are plenty of other stories and people to talk about, but right now I'm too tired to do the telling, so I'll let them chime in.

Great time, great course (today's at least, I wasn't as fond of Saturday's), and great people as always. Looking forward to the ProSolo next month!
