I think we all had so much fun in the awesome weather that we forgot about anything else...

Although... Majik gets some serious kudos for driving faster on his well worn Hankook RS-2's in his very mild CSP car than POS drove on 710s in his formerly-nationally-competitive car. 55.1 to Majik, 55.5 to POS. And let's not forget JohnBaker for pulling off a win in C Stock!

I, on the other hand, was apparently just there for the food and scenery, finishing 7th-ish in street tire class with a 57.4

Congrats to JohnBaker! What happened to the mystery C Stock co-driver?

I had NealB as my co-driver yesterday and the lead in CS was swapped around between 3 of us for the entire heat! My last run got me around NealB and put into first, but johnbaker had one more run and he got me! johnbaker was awesome yesterday!

Majik was on fire! He spanked that in the green Miata with the silver stripes around with relative ease.

The lovely and talented Mark52 was laying down some seriously quick times in his CSP Miata! Was he the fastest Miata yesterday??

Not sure what NeilB thought about running General Default's formerly-nationally-competitive Miata (now my car ) but he seemed to do quite well in it!

I couldn't get those damn Hoosiers to warm up enough untill i got a rerun on my 4th run. It was like night and day. Won't have to worry about that anymore, mounting some 710s this week
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

I'm letting Majik dirve my car all weekend, just so I can watch and learn!

I thought the course was fun, with the exception of the 9 cone slolam. A couple of offsets, or a smaller slolam would have been better. I really need to attend a school though. It was nice to see Silvertoy, when are you going to bring your car out?

I had fun, but I could have driven a lot better. I though the slalom length was fine, I would like to have had a longer spacing. I love that, with the surface, there was almost no tire wear.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I had a great time meeting ya'll and going for my first rides! I'll have to figure out what class I can run in without removing anything I've added. I'll need sticky rubber for sure-I don't know though, I do get lost easily.

We could tape a course map to the inside of your windshield! Plus you could run with your headlights on!

It was good talking with you yesterday! For your first event try an S2K event.

Sounds like advice! I'll look into it.

From looking at your profile, you would probably be in CSP, or TCSP if you don't want to run on R-comps.

I was the guy who showed up at 9:50am because my alarm didn't go off. I had the dirtiest car there, red miata, running NCS 11...

Best time of 61.2, but that's with no walkthrough, just going faster and faster. I had a lot of room to go with the car, too, I probably would have broken under 60 if I had another run or 2, or knew the course before I drove it lol.

The Equipe Rapide autocross May 28th, is it basically like SCCA Solo 2? I don't need a fancy license, etc, just pay $30 or some other non-member fee, and I'm ready to roll? I want to go to that one, hopefully on time.

Same thing, different club. Show up, pay, pass inspection and you're good to go. Hope to see you there!

My other buddy has an 88 Integra, it was also grey with Rota Slipstreams and tint...loud fart cannon on it. They are both coming out this time as well...my main goal is to beat that Integra. He has it stripped out with those Rota's, big brake upgrade (11"), Tokico Illuminas, 27mm torsion bars up front, ground control coilovers in the rear, and just full exhaust and some intake work as far as the motor goes. He was doing, at best, a 55 on the last event. So hopefully he won't be too hard to beat in a stock Miata with BF Goodrich G/Force Sports...
It's not a fart cannon. It's a flowmaster...and they're rota grids not slipstreams!! get your facts straight!

Brett did really well for his first time out. My first autocross was event number 2 and somehow I DNF'ed each run. Brett got to the site late but was still able to run the first heat - he didn't walk the course at all. On the first run our buddy with the SAAB sat with brett and led him to a 69.something pass and a DNF. The second run I sat in with brett and he was able to come in with a 65 something i believe it was....I was also warned to keep my hands inside the car...sorry. The next 2 runs brett went down to a 62 i think it was, and on the last run ended up with a best of 61.2xx.

I'm pretty certain that if he had walked the course, or gotten another run, he could of broken into the 50's range. When I rode with him, it felt like the car still had room for more speed in some of the corners..but overall not too bad....practice makes perfect.

On the integra I ended up with a best of 60.7xx, but I had the course memorized. On that run I still went into a couple corners too hot, so with improvement in driving I'm pretty sure I could of broken into the 50s also.

I liked this track a lot more than the event 2 track that was at pennington field.

I came onto the site looking for any pics from the last event and stumbled onto this topic. My name is Maan and if you havent guessed already, the guy with the integra. (EP 8

I saw a lot of miatas out there, but there was one that I really liked...the red one with white rims, lowered, roll bar, willwood brake calipers (upgraded rotors?), and turbo. That one was SWEET. But all the other miatas were cool too

There are some great pictures at Aaron's website

Results should be getting to General Default soon.

I hope to be at Equipe Rapide...but is there any online registration like SCCA or do I just register at the event?
