For the casual home owner, they are probably fine. If you need them for everyday use I'd buy better stuff.
Target's ad this week has a Durabuilt 1,400 psi electric power washer for $79.99
They also have a Durabuilt 2-HP 6-gal air compressor with accessory kit for the same price.
I'd want the pressure washer to use for washing the MPV and the air compressor to power an air wratchet or other automotive air tools.
Are either of them worth it or should I just save for some more expensive, more powerful, and better name brand items?

Durabuilt????
2HP air compressor isn't going to be a good choice for air tools.
You want to pay a lot of attention to CFM requirements for sizing an air compressor:
Yeah... I have the Target Durabilt air compressor. It's fine for airing tires and running a pneumatic nailer, but it doesn't really have enough air flow for air wrenches.
But... that said, it's fine for just airing tires and running a nailer.

The pressure washer would probably come in useful occasionally, but don't expect to run air tools off of a compressor that small. I have a 4hp, 11-gal. Coleman that works great for airing tires or running a nail gun, but it's useless for even a small air ratchet.
