    Default Razor Phone Users

Anyone have one of the Motorola Razor Phones? I need to pick a new phone with my new plan. I want to stick with a flip and prefer Motorola as I have all the chargers, etc... I currently have a V551. I like it but Cingular says I need to replace my phone. (former AT&T customer)

Thought I'd give the Razor a try.

The bad news for you and trying to "keep" the chargers and etc... The RAZR uses a USB mini-A as a charger, so that would be null and void.

Cingular will try to trap you with new contract to get the "discounted" phone price.

If you still want to keep the charger from the V551, try sifting through eBay for the MPx220. The RAZR has had some issues lately with some batches of them randomly crashing during phone calls and etc.

^yea what he said about the chargers...

My wife & I just got a pair of RAZRs with Tmobile. As of yet I have no complaints. The software is pretty much like all the previous motorolla phones I have used, which I enjoy(unlike the gay nickelodeon software that came on those samsung phones we sent back). I have not had much of an issue with dropped calls, other than here & there which I think is just my area. There is currently a recall on this, so I wouldnt think it would be a big problem anyway.

One of my biggest pet peeves is dust likes to find its way behind the screen, theres not much you can do to get it out. Although a friend just talked his carrier into replacing his phone due to this issue. Also the fact that you cant actually download pictures/video to your computer using the USB cable/software, you can only upload them...go figure.

Overall as far as my experience theyre a good solid phone, as good if not better than the previous motorollas ive used (V60, V60i), & were happy with them.

Got two for 99 bucks with Verizon.

My only beef is that you can change the ringer settings with the buttons on the side of the phone when it's closed. So when it's in my pocket every once in a while it turns to silent or ring or whatever.
