A Southlake couple has purchased 441 acres near Decatur in rural Wise County where they are initially investing $3.5 million to build a Formula One-style auto road course that could be ready by September.
The track will also meet Sports Car Club of America and Grand-Am standards, making it suitable for road cars, motorbikes, super bikes, and vintage and legend series cars, the couple said. The track will be available to clubs, such as the Ferrari Club of America and Porsche Club of America, as well as offer private memberships, the couple said...

Here is one pic of the course...
I spoke with Wayne Atkins about this briefly in Houston, since he was involved in the layout and design of the course. It should be a hoot, as it has something like eighty five feet of elevation change along its length.

That looks fun I see lots of braking for the short right hander after that LOOOONG straight on the right side. Direction depending of course

Going off that straightaway counter-clockwise. it almost looks like we may not be able to see all of that turn due to an elevation change.... Can you imagine braking from 100mph into a turn that you can't see because it drops off hard to the right? Almost like Thunder Hill, except a lot more room to gather speed before the hill.Originally Posted by Sharpie
