thier master cylinders price is pretty TCB..... i wonder if i should just pay the difference for OEM quality.... i mean, you dont just reaplace this part every year. what would YOU do?
i think i have a bad clutch slave cylinder. would one from a 97 fit? im too lazy to find out the hard way... its a good thing i dont have 2 miatas, a credit card, and a garage because im so mad ill tear the car to a million pieces and biuld the miata i want!

You could try a rebuild kit...if the bore of your slave cylinder is OK (not pitted, rusty, etc) it could fix your problem.
Geez have you never had this experience before BAM?
Climb under the car move the clutch slave boot if it leaks or shows signs of moisture behind the boot the slave is going bad.

AJ, on your car I would go ahead and do both... And 90-97 are all the same as far as the slave goes.

I have the same problem on mine, when I crawl under the car I can see fluid dripping out of the boot.
From most people I have talked to, since it is an external part & easily replaceable, just grap a refurb from O'Reiley with a lifetime warranty...at least thats what I plan to do next weekend.

oops typo it was the clutch master. yeah the slaves been out so many times that i just typed that. the master from the the old 97 works fine. in fact i dont remember the pedal ever being so stiff on this car!
