It only goes to show when people can no longer discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, or sexual orientation, they can improvise and still find someone to hate. - Dave Moulton
I'd also like to mount the camcorder in the car like our very own Miatamoto so I can see what that idiot driving the car is doing wrong!Originally Posted by tailchaser
I hear that with training, a trunk monkey can make a very proficient cameraman.
Conecam on the trunk! Suction cups! Woohoo!Originally Posted by POS Racing

I've got a 3 suction cup mount sitting in my garage right now. I'll let you try it, see if you like it. If you don't just give it back, if you do you can pay me then.Originally Posted by POS Racing

If you stick it on the trunk don't ya need a tether of some type also?
Wonder if our resident safety would know!
It seems very stable, but I was getting some vibrations. Didn't seem like it was going to come off for anything.

IIRC - If it is in the car, the camcorder must be tethered to pass inspection
After seeing what one camera owner did to your run videos, I can certainly understand your wanting your own camcorder!!!
Miatamoto, do you know how heavy of a camera that mount will support?

You punks don't have a clue.
The first portable video camera I helped tote was black and white (the original colors) and took two people to carry the main body; the monitor, lens, handles and tripod were taken off to make it portable.
I'm no engineer, but 2# at 35mph change of speed (sudden stop) could develop a force of 70# if I understand the formula.
Wow... Now thats old! I remember ones when I was a kid that had the VCR separate, but it was still a one person job. The VCR came with a nifty padded bag with a shoulder strap. Nothing like a 25 pound VCR on your shoulder to ruin a mood!Originally Posted by onething
