The Formula One star said he's looking for a more enjoyable atmosphere and a new racing challenge, and thinks he'll find it in NASCAR next year.

Must be big enough bling in Nascar to attract former F1 guys.

But going from the most technically advanced cars in the world to the "insert sponsor name here" Dodge just seems like a heck of jump!

Big discussion on Wind Tunnel was whether he was moving up or down as a driver; in other words, is it harder to race in the most sophisticated cars in the world or dumptrucks?

There was also some speculation that Montoya was tired of racing against the big red F

He hasn't really set the F1 world on fire, maybe he is looking for better job security.

First time he gets bumped he'll have a rude awakening.

Must be a trend going on ... they were saying this morning on the news that Danika Patrick was thinking about heading over to Nascar as well.

NASCAR has a big Diversity push going on. Maybe the France family has been doing some behind the scenes recruiting.

That figures, suites his driving style and attitude better...being a dumb ass and running into other cars like its demolition derby!

Sure seems like a waste of potential to go from Formula 1 to NASCAR. But since he was losing his F1 ride anyhow............

Wasn't it JPM that swapped race cars with Jeff Gordon a while back?

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, who has had a number of close calls on the track with Montoya, declined to answer when asked whether he will miss him.

But Schumacher said he can't see himself following Montoya to NASCAR.

"Personally I wouldn't do it," he said. "What do you see in NASCAR? What is exciting about it? I can't see running around in ovals. I don't see the challenge for me."
