Thread: No Passport Required.....

    Default No Passport Required.....

Sunday I leave for that great 120 degree sandbox in the Persian Gulf.

Just wanted to say Bye. Remind y'all to watch my blog and leave some constructive feedback. http://blog.myspace.com/miatamaniac92

I look foward to seeing yall at the Ranch when I get back.

Scroll down to read how I feel about the situation. Warning: It's political.

First off I do not want to turn this into a political argument, this is how I feel. I am the one making the sacrifice. I am tired of the media distorting things and I want you to all know how I feel. Most of my peers feel the sameway.

I am glad we are in Iraq and Afghanistan. I support our Commander in Chief 100%. VJ day was celebrated the other day, we still have troops in Japan, Korea, and Germany. I think we should have bases in Iraq for atleast the next 50 years, we've sacrificed enough to help maintain stability in the region/country. This is not Vietnam, the reason we are back in Iraq for a second time is that we didn't have the resolve to finish it the first time.

The hard right is better than the easy wrong. To pullout would be easy, but it would be spitting on the graves of every soldier and civilian who has lost their life for this cause.

More than 1/2 a million troops have circulated through Iraq. If 2000 - 3000 soldiers have been killed, do that math.

    Thanks for hearing my ramblings.

Take care of youself. My room mate was there a couple of years a go. He and I are former 19K M1A1 tankers. One of my other friends, a 19D scout, is heading back to the dunes this month.

Is this your first time out to the box?

As an Apache Mechanic you will probably have plenty to keep you busy.

The problem with this type of war is that there are no front lines. Anyone, anywhere can be the enemy and they are more than willing to die as long as they get you.
