From what I got he was going to a party that night, that is no excuse for selling the X or for having that much in him, the "manufacturing" charge that is on nbc's website is what bothered him the most. Possesion and selling is bad enough. I am not defending his actions in anyway, just stating that the whole story didn't come out. With that said all I have to go on are two news briefs and his side of things

Well, they either did one of two things -

• copied and pasted that right off the police report,
• or misread the report.

As for correct reporting, I hope it was the police that charged him with that and not NBC5's webmaster.

And also, the arrest report should be a matter of public record... so you can also see what the police actually charged your friend with.
