Yikes... sorry to hear about it...
I really hate driving on 380...
I knew the day was going to be bad. Wake up and can't find my belt, go to the 7-11 and they are out of lids and then I smack the remnants of a 18 wheeler tire going 65 mph. The car in front of me swerves into the left hand lane and leaves me right in front of the damn thing. I hit it with the left front of my bumper and it makes a sickening noise. I pulled off to the side of the road and the inspection reveals a deep dent under the fog light and a streak of black rubber all the way down the side of the car. It is still dark outside so I have to wait to do a better inspection. The car still tracked straight and there was no other noticeable noises after I started up so I hope it's only going to be a new bumper.

Man, that's a bummer.
The truck drivers call them alligators, 'cause they reach up and bite you if you run over them. Hope the bumper can be popped back into shape and the rest can be buffed out with wax.

Is the interfooler alright?
The Interfooler survives and we are going FI this weekend as scheduled.
Well it could have been a lot worse. When I read the title, I had thoughts of the car sitting on the side of the road looking like a big mouth bass. The interfooler sitting about 100 yards back ready to be taken to the aluminum can recycle place. The good news is that the rubber will come off with some elbow grease.
I will post some pics when I get home. The M45 is going in with a Greddy Ultimate and a high flow fuel pump at the Dogpound on Saturday.
Can you imagine the discussion with the insurance adjuster? "So let me get this straight.. you placed an $1100 piece of aluminum on the front of your car right in harms way for no particular reason, and it was destroyed. And you want us to buy you another $1100 useless chuck of aluminum to replace it? OK... where is the camera... Peter Funt... come on out!"
Yes, that thought ran through my mind as I was getting out of the car to examine the damage. Luckily my superior driving skills had me swerve to the left and take the hit nominally thus saving me from that conversation.
I remember Alan or Allen (Google has it spelled each way, and Linkie), but not his son Peter, on the show. I also remember Jo Ann Pflug, ahh, Lieutenant Dish. Do we have a smiley for eye candy?

On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.
