I saw a VW commercial tonight. They are giving away electric guitars that 'plug' in to the car with a purchase. Slash from GNR was playing.
The next ride will be better than the Dub was Bean!
Gone, gone, gone...
Hmmm... now for some shopping.

Eh? What happened?
So what are you looking at for a replacement?

That looks heavy...
The one in the back is the one that is in every stock Miata. If you want to pull the dash to get lighter, you are left with that ugly sharp edged thing exposed. You can't eliminate it, as it provides rigidity and supports the steering column from flopping between your legs.
The one in the front is one that someone doing a dash-ectomy had welded up to replace the stock one. Bean and I were talking about grinding off each and every bracket from the stock bar to make it safer when exposed. This solution is 100x cleaner.
