    Default The saga continues!!!

Been doing alot to my car lately only to have more things creep up.

    1. Stripped seat bolt
    2. Cracked heater core
    3. Stripped caliper
    4. Missing plastic thingy on my shifter when I went to replace the torn rubber boot. It was on there but now it just diappeared! I have no idea where the it went!

    ...and across the line.

Yikes that cant be good. I have had my shifter out a few times and never have lost that. It seemed to be attatched fairly well.

    That's what I was thinking.

William called me yesterday and was trying to figure out why his transmission only goes into neutral, 2nd, and 4th.

Did you check down in the 'well' ? May be in there...possibly in more than 1 piece.

If I am reading the parts blowup correctly, that piece is listed as the "Sheet, Spring" and is part # 0398-17-462A.

I had one break on my 1980 Dodge Chalenger back in 1991 and left the transmision stuck in 3rd gear. Luckily I was able to get it home from Plano.

Gary has actually changed this little grommit out before. He said it just pops on and off.

I called Town North and they have it in stock for $5.

As for where it went. I siphoned the turret oil again. It isn't in there. It's not under the car, I didn't see it on top of the tranny or cat. I looked all over the garage where I was working and those damn grommit elves must have swipped it.

It's in your pocket. You put it there so you wouldn't loose it. But you will only find it after you get a new one and put it all back together. "Hey there it is"

Installed but still have difficult shifting. Me thinks the clutch still has air in it when I did a flush on it.

Weird, because it was on there when you filled the tranny oil.....How is the caliper bracket?

Try caliper. The threads that were stripped were in the caliper.

Gary hooked me up though. My eldest son helped me bleed the brake, this morning Trina helped me bleed the clutch. It's all good! Now all that's left is to cut my trim panels for my rollbar which I never did and build the amp rack and install/wire the amp.
