Thread: Miatas @ Hallet Photos

    Default Miatas @ Hallet Photos

Here are some photos that were taken at Miatas @ Hallet this past weekend.

    http://www.trackdogracing.com/websit...llet_2006.html

Thanks also to Magma and Skirt for taken some of the run group I was running in. If not for that I wouldn't have pictures for most of the group.

I put everything up there. A few might be shaky or out of focus but that gives the impression of speed. If your like me there is not a bad picture of "your" car :)

This was the first time using this DSLR and the focusing mode that was used sometimes had a mind of is own (ie focusing on the tire walls instead of the car). Most of the shots are in sequence using the motor drive.

Most of them turn out good and if you want any of them in their original size (6MB) just email me.

Great pics and thanks to you, Magma and Skirt. Email sent. I wish I could have gotten my picture with Ricky Bobby and his autograph.

Here is a composite of one of our sessions at Hallet.

Lots of fun chasing speed in the red car.

Yeah next time we need to designate photographers for each run group.

The pictures used in that montage were all taken by you.

Some of the best of the day...including the pro.

    Thanks

Anyone got the contact info for the pro photographer? I'd like to see if we can set up a group buy or if not get my own cd.

    OK

His work is a bit spendy, but if he had a great shot of the car, it might be worth it...

Wonder how much he'd charge to lose the one of me going backward after the spin in turn 2?

I think there was a card in our gift bag. I checked for a website via the sponsor list on the Ark miata site and it didn't give a link, so I'm guessing he doesn't have a website.

Put together some composite photos of some the "Dog Pack" participants from last weekend.

I've got the high resolution version I can email if you want yours. Gary's running out of space on his site.

OK, admit it... it took everything you had to not use the spinout pick for BR in the DogPack photo.

He's lucky he even made the cut. All these images were taken on my camera, but if I did have a high res image it be up there in a flash, at least in a special limited version.

Nice job, Mike. Are you still running no boost? If so, I bet it was frustrating for Speed with you on his tail ALL the time.... Who's in the black #112? That's a nice looking car!

    Thanks Merv.

The black #112 is Harry. He's a retired fellow that join the ranch with us back last year. Real nice guy and doesn't visit here.

And yes I still have no boost (not going that way again) but I've got the suspension and Speed's got the boost. We have a blast chasing each other around the track. It's pretty much a draw, but I'll soon be left behind if I don't find a few new tricks to keep up with these young whipper snappers

Hope to see yah at the 2007 Hallett Event.

I just use the odd numbered gears when I run with Mike...
