I like the idea of the Corner Bakery, but I guess it really does not matter one way or the other.
Think I found a place: Corner Bakery Cafe is just 1 mile from the ballpark; 615 Main Street. Sundays, they open at 7. How does 7:30 sound?

Your map shows 615 N Main which is less than one block from the event.
615 Main, on the other hand is about 1 mile south of the event.
Either way, I'll be there when they open since it is on my way and sounds much better than McGriddle and grease.
It is at 615 Main Corner Bakery Cafe Map

If I can find either one of these places, I might be by for breakfast.

I'm gonna try to make it to the Corner Bakery, then.
That was a pretty fun course today. I like the site and the surface. The light poles looked a little scary during the walk through but I never saw them during the runs.
Huge thanks for Mark52 for the co-drive! The car was a blast to drive. A NB motor in a NA is a great combo.

It was a fun course and the new venue is worth repeating! Hopefully it will be a regular next season. Tire class was a battle today with 18 entrants!Nice to see everyone, yada, yada, yada.
The shocker of the day was Robert showing up in the yellow '04 S2K he bought a few days ago. Very nice car!![]()
That's it? No details? Heck man, I'm waitin' to hear details! It's a long way from here to there.
BTW, been doin' this stuff for over 20 years, and today is the first time we ever had an event shut down by the cops...new venue, complaining neighbors, cops didn't care that we were breaking no laws since the noise ordinance is only in effect between 10PM and 10AM. We didn't start till 11 AM. Cops were nice about it and asked us to kindly shut it down to appease the neighbors. I didn't even get to start the motor... So, my autocross day is vicariously depending on you guys...

Thououghly enjoyed the new site! The light poles were pretty much a non-issue and the surface was pretty good. Could have used some more strategically place fire extinguishers, though![]()
Anybody want to theorize why my engine started puking oil out of the cam cover breather? I know Thomas and I were winding it up to near 8k rpms at a couple of places on the course. Could that have something to do with it?
An oil catch can is on order, now, but I'd like to find the root cause of the problem, too.

My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

I liked the place, too. I forgot all about the light poles when driving. I think they should move some of the Bedford events to this location.
Not a whole lot to say other than 18-wheelers parked on the track that morning and issues with the timing lights that held things up. The 18-wheelers were moved at the last minute, and as for the timing lights, well s**t happens. I think Sammm and POS covered the rest about cars catching on fire and Robert (whose name we will never mention here again, the traitor) getting a beautiful new S2000.
I would like to see ER consider moving Bedford races to this location, too.
Good to hear folks thinking it is an acceptable site. Did the course flow well, was it fun to drive, and how long was it...timewise?

I heard the rental fee for LaGrave was $1,000. How does that compare to BMS, Bus Lot, and MW?

HATED IT!!! ABSOLUTELY HATED IT!!!

Well, maybe not that much. I guess I was expecting more.
I thought the tires we ran had more life in them, we were wrong. Fought for front end grip all day.
The site was a LOT rougher than I was expecting. Surface seems comparable to Topeka, pretty slippery but got better as more cars ran on it. The cross over, dip, between the lots should have been taken a little slower. Some parts of the course felt rougher to me than parts of MW we tend to always seem to run on, especially the finish straight to the kink. Course was around 56 sec for me and 60+ for most stock cars. It shined up and smoothed our tires like the bus lot does.
And the ditches, drainage dips, in the paddock and grid lot were definitely a pain to maneuver around, though.
The cost should come down next year, hopefully.

I thought it was a good site and pretty good course, fast and fun!. Ran in the first heat and slid around a bit..but still fun. 3 runs was a bummer, but understandable. Glad the trucks finally left and the full course was restored. Those big fast sweepers are lots of fun.
Easy to find location and only 65mi. from home. Bathrooms are a plus too!
Prior commitment had me bailing early and thus DQ myself for not working my heat, but at least I got my runs in. Wished I could have seen you guys run on it.
I think it would be great to run at night there next summer, seems to be pretty well lit, but not sure about any extra cost and/or noise restrictions.
Had a good time running with the novices this season. Still up in the air for next season though. ES or TES or STS2 (good to have choices!).
Thanks to all. Good times. Good times!
