$22,899 man that's a lot of pennies.......![]()
Got the cash, but don't have the time or space for a Westfield build? FM has released turnkey pricing.
Base Kit price: $14,499
Refreshed 1.6 Donor Pallet $3,400
Assembly $5000
Total: $22,899
You can knock another $1200 off the price if you don't want the donor parts "refreshed". The refresh includes new timing belt, cam seals, front main seal, oil filter, plugs, wires, rear main seal, transmission seals, shift boot, brakes pads, brake rotors, battery, air filter, and all fluids. In addition, the flywheel is machined and they refinish the uprights, valve cover, and intake manifold.
And because I haven't posted any Westie porn in a while...

Are you on their payroll now?
You keep pushing this like
- You're gonna get one but too much of a
, or
- They're giving you a cut for every mention on a board!
Hurry up and buy the damned thing already! Let's get to building...
If everything goes as planned, I should be able to place my order in 15-16 months. That puts the arrive some time in May or June of '08. I won't be springing for the turn-key so the build will begin in the summer.I say begin lightly, because I'm a
and won't spend much timing building unless it is in an A/Ced garage. I've also seen the hot garage vs cold garage productivity of most of my friends and it would appear that they are
s too. I am also beginning to think that the refreshed pallet may be the way to go though.
I dunno... I think I'm going to save for an Elise. The Westfield is seeexy though![]()

.... no Miata
I am just going with what is listed on the site. Since they haven't actually put together the first donor pallet, and think it has to be considered a preliminary list and a preliminary price. The Battery isn't listed either, so I asked them... they basically said, yeah, I guess we missed that... one will likely be included. They do list that there is no install charge for them to swap out the clutch and/or flywheel to the high end stuff.
So even with all that, you'd still be willing to sacrifice that rare yellow beast of yours?
Not an issue... when I brought it up to the, she responded with something to the effect of "Why would you have to sell the Miata to get this? Can't you have both? I'm not OK with this if it means selling the Miata. Lets just figure out a way for you to have both." I knew she was a keeper!
Hey POS... let me know how that Mini works out. She says she wants to replace the Murano with one in a couple years.
90 MX5 281k miles! - euro spec, Porsche Riviera Blue w/black hardtop, 97 motor swap, vintage Borbet rims, GC, FM shock hats/frame rails/rear sub-brace, AGX, sway bar, stb, Fidanza/ACT combo, EBC Yellows
92 COMMA SM - new paint coming soon...
Yeah... they mentioned that unfortunately they won't be going THAT far on every one unless you pay for a complete rebuild. I believe they said that they even bead blasted the water pump pulley and painted every last piece including the block, oil pan, thermostat housing/coolant necks, TB cover, exhaust manifold, valve cover, and intake manifold. The average refresh will only get the valve cover and intake manifold painted.
