    Default Couple of pics

I took a ton of shots from my trip to Lubbock. Most of them were family pictures, and while I am sure a few here might like to see my Grandma, Ill save the rest of you. I took these on the actual drive there. Who would have thought there was anything to see?

Heh... if it were paved... I think there's about 750 feet of elevation in that photo. The road is Conley's Creek leading to Cowee Bald in Western North Carolina.

Heh... famous quotes from that road?

    Her: "Are we sliding?"

Me: "Uhh... no. I normally have to turn the steering wheel this far."

Interestingly, there was a lot more grip on the snow than on the portions where the snow had recently melted.

That looked like the bridge over the Brazos there at Mineral Wells? 114 is the best way to go to Lubbock, lots more to take pictures of than when on 20 and 84 (the most BORING stretch of road in Texas) It's also faster, what with all the construction, tooling down the interstate at 15mph...

I'd post pictures from my trip, but how many people are interested in pictures of me holding up a dead pheasant? Future father-in-law took me hunting over the holidays... lots of fun...

On that note (and to help the inevitable thread drift), does anyone have any good recipies for pheasant?

I noticed that as well, coming down the Berthoud Pass a couple of days ago. I was amazed at how many Coloradans don't have a clue how to drive on ice/snow. I've never been a witness to so many slow-motion accidents in my life.
