That's a nice lookin' ride...

Looks like former National Champion (and all around super fast guy) Ron Bauer has gotten serious about building an NC for CSP. He traded the '06 in on an '07 in order to get a 5-speed car with better gearing, and he's teamed up again with Jim Daniels for this season. Looks like the guard may be changing in CSP this year!

I was reading about that earlier on the Pointy Board... That is going to be really interesting to watch.
Should be interesting. Pedroza, in a very underprepared NC (just intake, exhaust and JIC coilovers) was able to pull hard on my NA at the Pro Solo. That was before I removed the softtop and the factory leather seats (car weighed in at a portly 2255).
A fully prepped CSP NA should be running a 99-00 engine (30-40 more whp) and weigh 1900 lbs. I can't wait to see Bauers car run against some nationally competitive NAs.
I wonder if 285 is too much tire for a Miata?

I'm thinkin that even a moderately prepared NC in the hands of a "National" quality driver will be hard to beat. The extra rubber and HP of the NC should make up for any weight differences. BUT, we shall see what happens.
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.
